The annual Christmas Eve is here again as scheduled.

Since the Christmas Eve holiday spread into China, China has also used its own way to accommodate and accept this holiday, creating a custom for this holiday, passing on the fruit of peace-apple (homonym), and also delivering a good blessing .

Do you value yourself? What about your "gene guardian"? Is it safe?

Among human genes, TP53 is a very important tumor suppressor gene. The p53 protein encoded by TP53 gene is an important regulator of cell growth, proliferation and damage repair. When the cell is in a normal state, p53 maintains a low protein level and does not interfere with the operation of normal cells. When the cell is damaged or under stress, the level of p53 protein rises rapidly, making it quickly activated and Start the repair function of normal cells. When cell DNA damage is severe and cannot be completely repaired, p53 protein will trigger cell apoptosis and play its role in inhibiting cell growth.

Later, the researchers discovered some new functions of the p53 protein, such as regulating cellular metabolic pathways, regulating the expression of cytokines related to the embryo implantation process, and so on.

When p53 protein was discovered in 1979, it was even misunderstood as an oncoprotein. Later, it was washed away; it is actually a tumor suppressor protein, but the TP53 gene in cancer patients often undergoes mutations.

TP53 is the gene found to be the most relevant to human tumors (TP53 mutations occur in more than 50% of human tumors). At the same time, the mutation rate of TP53 is also the highest among all tumors, especially in tumors that occur in epithelial tissues. The mutation rate of TP53 can also be as high as 50%-90%.

TP53 gene can occur in multiple tumor types. The mutation frequency of TP53 gene is different in different tumor types, the highest is uterine carcinosarcoma, and lung adenocarcinoma also reaches more than 60%. The TP53 gene is altered in about 90% of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and about 50% of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). TP53 mutations in lung cancer are related to smoking. Compared with non-smoking lung cancer patients, G-T conversion caused by tobacco carcinogens is often found in smoking lung cancer patients. When wild-type TP53 is re-expressed in lung cancer cells with mutation or deletion of TP53, the tumor cells go to apoptosis, and clinical trials have confirmed the anti-tumor activity, feasibility and safety of TP53 gene therapy.

Researchers have confirmed that if this gene is mutated, tumors are often more aggressive and have a poorer prognosis. KBM launched the TP53 genetic testing service to detect TP53 mutations in your body. Suitable for those:

If the test result shows that the TP53 gene result is abnormal, the subject must first pay attention, conduct a more comprehensive risk assessment for the increased risk of tumors, and then conduct personalized health management based on the assessment results, and intervene as soon as possible, such as targeted physical examination and adjustment Check items and frequency, pay close attention to changes in physical examination results; adjust diet, exercise, sleep and other lifestyles and habits, actively avoid environmental risk factors that can induce tumors, take preventive measures, and try to avoid detonating health Minefield.

In addition, studies have shown that certain environments and diets can directly cause mutations in the TP53 gene:

1. Aflatoxin B1 in food, so be careful not to use moldy foods, as these foods may contain aflatoxin.

2. Hepatitis B virus infection, which can lead to hepatocellular carcinoma, which also involves changes in TP53.

3. The mutation of TP53 gene in non-melanoma skin cancer is related to sun exposure.

4. Smoking can cause TP53 mutation, which is related to the occurrence of lung cancer.

I hope everyone will pay more attention to their bodies and keep safe and healthy. There is an old saying,

AN APPLE A DAY, KEEPS DOCTER AWAY.

Hope Apple can really bring you good luck.
